"Naomi in Cell" - oil pastels. Artist's note: I was a dancer for 10 years and one thing we learned was that the pauses give movement meaning. Silence makes sense of the noise. I never stop being amazed at the use of silence in this show - as in the scene pictured here of Naomi in the cell. It was gripping and she didn't say a word.
