Konata Izumi is the main protagonist of the Lucky Star series and its spin off manga, Konata 31. A hardcore otaku, she is the leader of the Lucky Star crew and the daughter of Sojiro and Kanata Izumi and lives in a house in Saitama prefecture near Tokyo. Nicknamed "Kona-chan" by Tsukasa Hiiragi, she is an eccentric but friendly person.
